Raumlaborberlin began working on the issues of contemporary architecture and urbanism in 1999. In various interdisciplinary working teams they investigate strategies for urban renewal. Raumlabor does urban design, architectural design, lanndscape architecture, interactive environments, art installation and urban transformation, in which boundaries are between public and private.

The studio involves specialists from other fields as they are working across disciplines. Raumlabor is not an architectural firm, but a community of interests. Consequently, the studio is not a company but project-based study groups.
