Maša Živec finished her studies of architecture at the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana. In 2015-16 she studied at the E-Capital Start up school for cultural tourism in Ancona, Italy. From 2001 to 2007 she collaborated with Maruša Zorec.
She was awarded by the Prešeren for architecture in 2012 with Maruša Zorec and Žiga Ravnikar for the reconstruction of the Castle outbuilding in Ormož (2011) and a Plečnik's medal for reconstruction of Plečnik's house with Maruša Zorec and Matjaž Bolčina in 2016. She wonderments several competitions just to mention for the square reconstruction in Šempeter (2001) (with Domen Mozetič, Špela Jerin), for conceptual architectural solution of the fountain and the square in Solkan (with Vojteh Ravnikar and Domen Mozetič), for the castle reconstruction and the library in Ravne na Koroškem (with Maruša Zorec, Ana Kučan, Dušan Stupar), for urban settlements Dobrova and Polhov Gradec (with Maruša Zorec, Uroš Rustja, Ana Golmajer, Aleksij Vičič and Tadej Bolta)and for the farewell building at the cemetery Moravče, 2015 (with Maruša Zorec, Ana Golmajer, Mark Koritnik, Tadej Bolta).
