About Change this

Antoni Bonet i Castellana was a Catalan architect, designer and urban planner. He began his career with Josep Lluís Sert and Josep Torres Clavé, who founded the MIDVA (Furniture and decoration for the current dwelling). In those years he was a member of GATCPAC, a 30s group formed as a Spanish branch of CIAM. In 1936, when finalized its studies of architecture, travels to Paris where it enters the study of Le Corbusier. He considered architecture as an ordering matter in the life of man and believed that the activity of the architect extended from the conception of a piece of furniture to the planning of a city. One of its constants was the effort to integrate the various scales of the human habitat, investigating new materials and forms to obtain architectural spaces and furniture at the service of society.
